What’s the most important thing to know?

Do not use Xiidra if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Seek medical care immediately if you get any symptoms of an allergic reaction.

What about side effects for Xiidra?

The most common side effects of Xiidra include eye irritation, discomfort or blurred vision when the drops are applied to the eyes, and an unusual taste sensation.

It is not known if Xiidra is safe and effective in children under 17 years of age. Tell your doctor if you have any side effects that bother you. These are not all the possible side effects of Xiidra.

Remove them before you use Xiidra and wait at least 15 minutes before popping them back in.

What Xiidra dosage should I follow?

Xiidra is taken twice a day, about 12 hours apart—you’ll use one drop in each eye in the morning and one drop in each eye in the evening.

Use Xiidra right away after opening. After you've applied Xiidra to both eyes, throw away the single-use container and any unused solution. Don't save for later.

Where should I keep Xiidra?

Xiidra comes as a sterile solution in a single-use container, and should be stored at room temperature in the original foil pouch to protect it from light.

To help avoid eye injury or contamination of the solution, do not touch the container tip to your eye or any surface.
